Korea recognizes energy security and carbon neutrality as key tasks by proactively responding to global resource supply and demand uncertainties, and focuses its policy capabilities on preparing feasible and scientific carbon neutral implementation measures, market-based demand efficiency, and fostering new energy industries.

In order to preemptively respond to these environmental changes, the Korea Power Exchange is committed to ensuring a stable power supply, while establishing a power market structure based on market principles, establishing a flexible and robust power system operating system, and changing the new paradigm of the Basic Plan for Long-term Electricity(BPLE) is set as a goal and implemented step by step. In addition, we are contributing to the transition to a green economy by leading the expansion of new energy industries centered on consumers, such as the energy prosumer market, national DR, small-scale power brokerage market, and direct PPA activation
